Q. How do I access myCentennial?
A. Type in the URL address box in you browser.

Q. Who has access to myCentennial?
A. Anyone who is an employee, faculty or student of Centennial College.

Q. How do I get a user name and password?

If you are a student:

  • User name is your Centennial College student ID number and your initial password is your date of birth (MMDDYY for example January 15, 1980 = 011580), if you are having difficulties logging in you have 2 options:
    • Remote Support
      Call Helpdesk at 416-289-5280,press option 1 (student), then press option 1 (myCentennial password resets).

      *Helpdesk hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
      *In order to protect access to your personal information, you will be required to verify your identity by being asked for name, address and date of birth.
    • In-Person Support
      This service is available by going to the following I.T. Client Support Centre offices:
      Progress - room C3-15
      Morningside - room 328
      Ashtonbee - lab A209

      *I.T. Client Support Centre office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday/Sunday, 9am to 4pm.
      *In order to protect access to your personal information, you will be required to present photo id and know your student number.
  • New Students - If you applied through OCAS you must confirm your acceptance through the OCAS website. When your confirmation has been processed (usually within 48 hours) you will have access to the Centennial College Web Registration System. If your offer of admissions is conditional, you must clear any outstanding admission requirements before you can use the Web Registration System.
  • If you did not apply through OCAS, please follow the instructions included in your Offer of Admissions package.
  • Continuing Education Students - if you do not know your student number it is on your receipt given to you at the time of registration. If you registered by phone, a receipt is mailed to you. If you registered on-line your student number is sent to you with your confirmation.

If you are an employee:

  • User name is your employee ID number
  • To obtain your password you have 2 options:
    • Remote Support

Q. Can I get my e-mail from home?
A. One of the great features of myCentennial is the ability to retrieve mail from home. All you have to do is access myCentennial at with your login and password, go to the e-mail icon on the myCentennial tab and click into your personal e-mail account.

Q. What is the size of my mail box on myCentennial?
A. myCentennial mailboxes are 100Mb.

Q. Why do I get a message that my account has been suspended when I try to login?
A. myCentennial has detected repeated login failures over a short time interval for your account. For security reasons, myCentennial will suspend your account for increasing periods of time with each subsequent login failure. Call the Helpdesk at 416-289-5280 to have it reactivated. Have your student number ready.

Q. I forgot my password?
A. If you forgot your password you have two options:

  • Remote Support
    Call Helpdesk at 416-289-5280,press option 2 (employee), then press option 1 (myCentennial password resets).

    *In order to protect access to your personal information, you will be required to verify your identity by being asked for name, address and date of birth.

Q. How do I change my password?
A. Use the "My Account" link in myCentennial (top left corner of screen).

Q. Why does nothing happen when I try to compose or view an e-mail message or when I click on the Calendar icon?
A. You may have pop-up blocking enabled. Try disabling pop-up blockers.

Q. How do I delete a tab in myCentennial?
A. Deleting Tabs (for example the "Sample" tab?
To delete a tab, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log into myCentennial
  2. Click on the "Content/ Layout" link which is located on the left hand side of where it says Welcome...
  3. Click on the tab you wish to delete (for example, "Sample")
  4. Click on "Delete this Tab".
  5. A message will ask, "Are you sure you want to delete this tab?". Click OK.
  6. Click on the "Back to myCentennial Tab" link.

Q. Is my information secure? Why don't I see the key lock security symbol at the bottom of the screen?
A. Security for myCentennial is provided by Thawte, a subsidiary of Verisign.

Most pages are actually frames within a page so you may not see the key icon that indicates a secure page, however, the pages are still secure.

Your personal information on myCentennial is protected through your login Id. Only by logging on with your login Id and Password can your personal information be accessed. For this reason, it is very important that you do not share your login id and password with anyone. No one needs to know your password for any reason. For your protection, it is essential that you log out of myCentennial and close your browser whenever you leave your computer so that your personal information is not exposed and therefore remains secure.
